The 2010/11 changes to the LLWR specification will go live on 15th August. Following the usual pattern, GT trainTrack will be updated over the coming months to comply with the new requirements as part of the normal service. Release notes will be provided at the time and we will liaise with clients about any changes we or they think may affect them particularly.

However, this year there is one particular aspect that training providers should be aware of, which is the need to submit Unique Learner Identifiers (ULIs) for every learner, before programme and other data can be uploaded. trainTrack has always had the ability to import ULIs generated by the LLWR system but using these will now become mandated by DCELLS. We suggest that providers start doing this in advance of 15th August and build ULI importing into to their sync processes.

ULI numbers can be imported by pressing the 'Sync' toolbar button and selecting Import ULI numbers. A file of numbers for existing learners can be generated and downloaded from the LLWR system itself.
