Unit tracking - 3.5 |
:: |
Hot on the heels of the previous version, GT trainTrack 3.5 introduces a unit tracking module. Although not a LLWR data requirement, clients have told us that the ability to track an activity's units within GT trainTrack would be an advantage. As this data is not collected through the LLWR, its use is essentially optional although highly recommended as, combined with read only access, it provides a useful tool for assessment officers and internal verifiers. A unit record comprises the following:
-
unit name
the name and number of the unit chosen from a drop down list of those available within the activity -
expected start date
the date that work on the unit is expected to start -
expected end date
the date that work on the unit is expected to end -
actual start date
the date that work on the unit actually started -
planned assessment date
the date that the assessment officer plans to assess the unit -
result of assessment
the result of the assessment
To display the units, the report card in the learner summary screen has been redesigned. Units are displayed next to their associated activity and are color coded: amber signifies that the unit has been started; green that it's been completed. Where an activity has no units, a planned assessment date field appears instead in its associated award record. GTtT 3.5 has been completed and will be released to clients in the coming weeks.
